According to early church traditions, Saint Matthew wrote the 1st Gospel, Saint Mark wrote the second Gospel based on the accounts of Saint Peter, Saint Luke wrote next, as he was working with Saint Peter and Saint Paul, then at last it was Saint John. The Gospel of Saint Luke should have been written before AD 64, as his second book, acts seems to not mention the death of Saint Paul. For such a detailed writer such as Luke this seems to be an odd information to be left out. And he mentiones that others have already written about our Lord Jesus. Thus we can understand that the Gospel of Saint Matthew and Saint Mark were most probably written around AD 40 - AD 60, while the Jews were persecuting the Christians, and there were constant arguments between Christians and the Jews. The letters of the New Testament were also written during this period.

Gracias por el contexto histórico es valioso. Sin embargo una corrección en cuanto a que los cristianos debían volver a la ley. El fin del pacto renovado no es abrogar la ley era y sigue siendo la sustitución de los sacrificios por la muerte del Mesías única y para siempre como un cordero sin mancha preparado por Dios. El pacto se renova precisamente para ahora tener la ley en nuestra mente y corazón por medio del Mesías: Pero este es el pacto que haré con la casa de Israel después de aquellos días, dice Jehová: Daré mi ley en su mente, y la escribiré en su corazón; y yo seré a ellos por Dios, y ellos me serán por pueblo. Jeremías 31:33 Entendamos el Mesías no abroga la ley, Él la cumple

James 2:24 doesn't even say "a man is justified by works". It says "you see that a man is justified by works", NOT "a man is justified by works". YOU⬅️[a human being, not God] ➡️SEE THAT⬅️[as in "you perceive that"] a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. (James 2:24) A man is justified by faith alone, but YOU see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.

La época de Pericles, Sócrates, Platón, Aristóteles, Alejandro Magno, Cartago, la Roma consular, así como la Imperial, la influencia Asiria, Egipcia, Persa/Aria, Babilónica y un largo et cetera de pueblos, ayudan a que los dos Testamentos tengan sentido, entonces para ello debemos de estar enterados del efecto que esas culturas impregnaron en el tiempo de JESUSCRISTO. e.g. Pablo era trilingüe, tenía ciudadanía romana, era judio… Filipo, es una Ciudad griega creada en honor al padre de Alejandro Magno, que junto con Efeso! @TheBibleEffect Really enjoyed this video. It definitely offers good insight on the context of the letters. Would be cool if some context/ info on how the Thessalonicans (spelling?) worshipped the Roman politicians/emperor and how it caused the Christians to seem subversive etc.
